October 2007 - The historic, design-led Chester Grosvenor and Spa in Chester has achieved a place in Condé Nast Traveller’s Readers Choice Awards  

Scoring 85.7%, Chester Grosvenor and Spa was rated amongst the top 20 hotels in the British Isles coming above such notable hotels as The Dorchester and The Savoy.  

Amassing 28,104 votes, the survey was compiled for the American edition of Condé Nast Traveller and has just over 500 hotels in its ranks.  Readers of the magazine were asked to rate their favourite hotels in the world in five different areas: Design, Dining, Location, Rooms and Service.

The Chester Grosvenor and Spa is an historic five star property situated in the heart of Chester, featuring 80 individually styled rooms and suites along with a Michelin starred restaurant and a luxurious treatment spa.  The hotel also holds five AA red stars and 3 AA rosettes, and was named ‘Large Hotel of the Year’ at the 2007 Enjoy England Awards for Excellence. The Arkle restaurant is one of only five restaurants in England that currently hold and have retained a Michelin star for over seventeen consecutive years.
