A Taste of Exclusivity at The Chester Grosvenor

The team have always provided a great location, fabulous food and excellent service and have been delightful to work alongside. The location is perfect for us; in the heart of Cheshire and the hotel provides an excellent backdrop.’

When Fortnum and Mason were searching for venues for their annual client Christmas product showcase it was vital that the venue be 'on brand'.

Luxury retailer Fortnum & Mason run annual product showcases for corporate and private clients to view its Chistmas wares. The preview events take place at six venues across the UK.

In previous years about 80 corporate clients have been invited to attend each of the private showcases. However with the guest list growning to 200 in 2010, it was important that venues selected could accommodate the increased numbers.

Venues chosen need to be 'on brand' to fit in with Fortnum & Mason's reputation and image. Corporate Sales Manager Andrew Dufton says, "When we select our venues we look at where our clients are based, as well as at venues and cities that are a good fit."

A five-strong team from Fortnum & Mason was involved in organising the corporate showcase at The Chester Grosvenor, collaborating closely with events co-ordinators. The Chester Grosvenor's Senior Events Co-ordinator Joanna Bridge says, "It was a very good turnout and guests could come and go throughout the evening."

The Fortnum & Mason team began preparing at 9am, dressing the rooms with gorgeous festive products and setting up tables and a large Christmas tree. Guests were invited to arrive from 5pm, when they were treated to champagne and canapes throughout the evening, which ended at 8pm.

"People were really pleased we had taken the time to visit them, and the feedback from the event was very positive," says Andrew Dufton. "We have used The Chester Grosvenor before so they are very aware of what is involved."
